“A journey of a thousand mile begins with a single smile”.

When a diminutive boy of just 16-year made his debut against Pakistan at the chilly winter in December 1989, the entire world was oblivious of the fact that it would herald a new era – Cricket got its best ambassador ever. Fortunately enough, he was a proud Indian and went on to become Sachin Tendulkar. The same youngster is already a living legend now and his inimitable smile and dazzling eyes never fail to woo his fans.

More than anything else it’s the cheerful spirit and righteous attitude of Sachin that keeps infusing faith and confidence among the fans. Whether it’s India, Australia or even far-off regions like the US or Canada, Sachin Tendulkar is very much prominent all across the globe. His legacy in cricket is inseparable and unquestionable transcending far beyond the realm of any 22-yard pitch.

Insurmountable Sachin Tendulkar in the World of Cricket

Talking about Sachin Tendulkar’s world records might sound cliché but facts can’t be ignored. Sir Donald Bradman is also mostly remembered for his world record of 99.94-average in test. Similarly, Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan is best known for his 800 test wickets than anything else. But whenever Sachin Tendulkar’s world records are brought to notice people go blah, blah and blah which is certainly not correct. Just as people say Bradman’s average in tests is invincible similarly, Tendulkar’s world records are unconquerable as well.

Being a harbinger of courage and determination, this venerable retired cricketer is welcomed with the chanting of Sachin, Sachin wherever he goes. If cricket is a religion today in the Indian subcontinent then the credit for it goes to Sachin’s humongous love for the game along with an unblemished cricket career and persona on and off the field.

He has been rightfully attributed as the God of Cricket, the unprecedented salutation to have ever been coined by aficionados for their beloved sportsperson anywhere in the world. No great sportsperson has ever earned this title before Sachin Tendulkar – a rarest accomplishment per se.
