Team India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli is in the news for all the wrong reasons this time. The batsman rose to fame with some powerful knocks against the stronger teams like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and others in recent past, but this time he is not doing well.

The statistics clearly indicates that he is not performing at all. At the end of Fourth test in the current test series between India and England, the star batsman could manage only 108 runs in 8 innings that he has played so far. The figure doesn’t suit the performance of any top batsman.

Immediately fans and critics have started pouring heavy criticism of Virat Kohli all over the social media like twitter, Facebook and others. His dismal scores of 1, 8, 25, 0, 39, 28, 0 and 7 at the last few tests against England have brought him heavy criticism and angst of the people.

Especially His fans on twitter, have become really very angry and disappointed at his poor performance in the current series against England. Many go on to the extent saying that the batsman should immediately be dropped from the team.

Any expert can’t agree with it. Also one can’t justify the veracity of this irresponsible claim and demand. It must not be forgotten that it is the same Virat Kohli whose heroic knocks and consistently good performance over the last few years have earned him the reputation of being the future Sachin Tendulkar for Team India.

The actual reason for the failure of Virat kohli to convert his start into big score in recent test series is best known to him only. Every cricketer goes through bad patches including Sachin Tendulkar.

The God of Cricket Sachin has faced such days many a time during his illustrious career. Yet he came back strongly to prove his point.

Similarly how can one forget the struggling days of Rahul Dravid in the beginning of his career? In those days Rahul was considered to be misfit for being selected in team India’s ODI squad. The scene has completely changed after the 1999 world cup held at England. Surprisingly Dravid stood as the top run-getter in the tournament. The rest is history. He has not only helped India win many matches but also amassed a huge 13000 plus runs in his ODI career.

The Former captain Saurav Ganguly was also dropped from test squad yet he has made a strong came back after two years. The point is not here to compare one’s performance with another but just to draw some inspiration from legends and masters of the game.

Virat Kohli is a capable player and everyone is well aware of his enormous talents. He must be given some time to actually regain his form and come back strongly the next time he goes onto bat for the team India.
